daughter in law

caller contacted my mother in law and had her at her computer for an hour.... she said they were getting frustrated as it wasn't working for them, even thought she was following her instructions (EEK!) anyway ..she ended up saying my daughter in law fixes this kind of thing for me and they said they would call back the next day when I was there. I told them I was busy can I get her number and I would call her as soon as I was free ( I was going to check in with telstra ) ...this is the number she gave me ..and what do you know..
My mother in law is elderly and has made herself sick with worry for a day over this scam!!
If I could get my hands on these arse hats!!!!!!

Same... person said her name was Lisa Wilson. Talked about spyware. When trying to call telstra for tech support, they advised over 1 HR waiting times. If they have staff making outbound calls, why don't they move them to answer calls.
Previous calls to telstra advised they were not calling

I just had this call today as well. Its a scam that has been running for many years. There are some good youtube clips that go through the whole scam. They claim they are from the Telstra Tech Centre and that there are malicious files being downloaded onto your computer and they need access to your computer. Depending on my time available I keep them on the line for as long as possible so there is a slim chance they miss calling up some confused pensioner and trick them. In the end I tell them they are malicious and respectfully tell them that there skills could be better used elsewhere.

Caller says they are from Telstra service department.
Gives an employer ID number and this phone number as reference.
Says files are being downloaded every time we use Internet.
Says Telstra gateway shows this.
Asks to have you open your computer to talk you thru fix.

When I said I could not and asks for an email of details they hung up straight away.

They have called more than once a few weeks apart.
